Your face and photos

Lookshark processes camera frames and selected photos on your device using Apple Vision. Images, facial landmarks and measurements are not uploaded to a Lookshark server. The app does not identify you or compare your face against an identity database.

Camera frames are held in memory while you scan. A captured or imported photo is stored in the app’s history when you tap Save scan. Saved photos and measurements use device file protection and are excluded from device backups.

Your details and plan

Your age, gender, chosen focus, plan steps and notes are stored locally. Lookshark uses your choices to organise relevant guides. Profile and plan data may be included in your normal device backup. The app has no account system, advertising SDK or analytics SDK.

Permissions and sharing

Camera access is requested when you start a scan. The system photo picker provides only the photo you select. When you share a face map or brief, the image or text is passed to the destination you choose through the system share sheet.

Deleting data

You can delete individual scans from Saved scans and remove plan steps from Plan. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data. Save any images or briefs you want to keep before deleting the app or changing devices.

Purchases

Paid downloads are handled by Apple. Lookshark does not receive or store your payment card details.
